Tamir Rice: no trial for US police who killed pre-teen
The US Justice Department says it will not charge the police officers who shot dead Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Ohio in 2014.
It said there was insufficient evidence to prosecute the two white officers, Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback, who shot the 12-year-old black boy within seconds of their arrival at the park where he was playing with a toy gun.
The killing was one of a series in 2014 that fuelled protests against racist policing. 大象传媒 Newsday asked Subodh Chandra, the lawyer of the family, for his reaction.
