Covid-19: 'Game-changer' AstraZeneca vaccine begins rollout
The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine has been described as a game-changer in the fight against the coronavirus. It's cheaper than the Pfizer-BioNTech jab and does not need to be kept in the deep freeze, which means it can be distributed and used more easily around the world.
Brian Pinker became the first person to be given it when he was vaccinated in Oxford today. More than half a million doses are expected to be given in the UK this week, and globally AstraZeneca hopes to produce up to three billion doses this year.
大象传媒 Health Correspondent Jim Reed describes the global significance of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine launch.
