Honduran caravan faces immigration battle ahead
A caravan of thousands of migrants from Honduras hope to cross the United States border and receive a more civil welcome from a Biden Presidency. At the moment they're being blocked by police in Guatemala and the Mexican President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has urged the US to make major reforms to its immigration policy.
The latest caravan of 7-8 thousand migrants has been stopped by Guatemalan soldiers using tear gas and road blocks. Ariel Ruiz, Policy Analyst at the Migration Policy Institute in California assesses the current situation between the countries.
