大象传媒 Belongings 05/02/2021

Bringing people together from our different cultures and communities in Suffolk.

This week is Children's Mental Health Awareness Week and Beverley Bishop comes on Belongings to share her personal journey of loss and coping with grief, as she shares her experiences of her son, taking his life. Bev uses performance as a route to encourage people to be open with sharing their own stories, she has many tools under her belt including acting, performing, laughter therapy, NLP, and hypnotherapy, and she uses these in a variety of ways to help people better cope with life鈥檚 challenges.
We also hear from Simona Lazar, a pastoral support and EAL manager at Stoke High School who has had success with engaging families in lockdown. A young pupil at a primary school in Ipswich, gives us a Window Into His World, as he spends lockdown in Hungary.
Shahed from Mum's Kitchen, takes a break from cooking to tell us about a brand new food business and getting started in lockdown.Lastly, we mark LGBTQ+ month by inviting guests to share their music and projects with the show.
