Further US drone strikes on al-Shabab targets have taken place in Somalia - this comes after the US military said its troop withdrawal from Somalia has been completed, in one of the last actions of the Trump presidency. An unspecified number of US troops will be redeployed to neighbouring countries for cross-border missions. Some experts have warned that a US withdrawal could embolden al-Shabab.
