Zimbabwe's foreign minister dies of Covid-19
Concern is rising about the impact of Covid-19 in Zimbabwe after it claimed the life of the Foreign Minister, Sibusiso Moyo. He's the third minister in the country to die of the virus - and deaths and cases are on the rise.
Doctors say that this may be due to people travelling back from South Africa for Christmas, carrying the more virulent mutation of the disease.
There's also concern for political prisoners with prominent lawyer and spokesperson for the opposition MDC, Fadzayi Mahere, who's currently in pre-trial detention, also confirming she's tested positive.
The 大象传媒's correspondent in Harare is Shingai Nyoka.
"Given the fact that prisons are notoriously overcrowded here... there's a real concern that this is being used as a way to torture some of these government critics."
