New Orleans: no Mardi Gras but get a jab instead
New Orleans is a one off when it comes to cities, so it's no surprise its public service announcements strike a different tone. This year, even though the pandemic has meant that the Mardi Gras celebrations in February are cancelled, neighbourhood personas in native costumes are part of a local government appeal to a hesitant general public to roll up their sleeves and get the Covid-19 vaccine.
