Covid-19 vaccine supply row: the EU's perspective
The total number of coronavirus cases recorded around the world has now passed one-hundred million, with over two million lives lost worldwide. While the numbers keep rising, there is a row over supplies of the Covid-19 vaccine within the European Union. A shortfall in expected doses has prompted the European Commission to plan to monitor exports of the vaccine from member states - though for now there is no plan for an export ban. The Latvian Foreign Affairs Minister, Edgars Rink膿vi膷s, outlines the problems they face.
