Ethiopia's Tigray: Humanitarian aid access only trickling in

The UN aid agency calls for wider access to reach people affected by war

The government of Ethiopia is slowly opening routes to facilitate rescue missions by UNHCR and other aid agencies tasked with assisting people caught in the fight between warring factions in the Tigray region.

The Centre for Disease Control in the United States has added Tanzania along with a number of other countries to the highest-risk level for Covid-19. This is despite the fact that no one really knows the state of the pandemic in Tanzania since the country stopped publishing data around COVID cases back in April, and officials saying that 'prayers' are keeping the virus out of the country. Our Health Correspondent Rhoda Odhiambo says what it means for Tanzania to be on the US' COVID-risk list and the country got there.
