'We will keep working until every veteran has their medals back'
Armed forces personnel who were dismissed in the past just because of their sexuality can now apply to have their medals restored. The Defence Minister Johnny Mercer described it as a "historic wrong" and says the Government is determined to put things right. The announcement's been wecomed by many LGBT veterans. The military charity Fighting With Pride says this is a good first step.
Its chief executive, Lieutenant Commander Craig Jones, served in Derry in the mid-90s. He spoke to Anna Curran on the Breakfast Show
