Featured Artist: Maeve

Maeve is a Shoreditch-based dystopian pop artist whose experimental beats and powerful vocals are as bold and captivating as her visual concepts. Growing up in the Cayman Islands, Maeve was surrounded by a myriad of cultures which has resulted in an eclectic range of musical influences. From Tom Waits to Bjork, her music is anchored as much in the traditional art of songwriting as it is in the world of art pop, making for a unique and hypnotic sound.

Moving to London in 2004 after a hurricane devastated her home country, Maeve fully immersed herself in the local music scene and started playing in hotels and bars to whoever would listen. Starting out as a singer, she learnt to play guitar at the age of 14 and soon taught herself how to produce. Now, with current single ‘Manic Pixie Dream Girl’ making waves and a new EP on the way, Maeve’s fearless DIY attitude and powerful vision is suggestive of something very exciting to come.
