Jumia: how did 'Africa's Amazon' fare in the pandemic?
Across many rich countries the serial coronavirus lockdowns have helped to increase the sales and profits of delivery companies and e-commerce firms.
In Africa, such firms can suffer from less reliable logistical, power and internet infrastructure.
So how has Jumia - the online retail giant dubbed 鈥淎frica鈥檚 Amazon鈥 - fared? 大象传媒 Newsday heard from Jumia's Chief Executive Officer, Ron Kawamara.
"Our immediate priority has always been to become profitable and we are on our way to making that happen... and to becoming more relevant and scaling up."
