"Art meets science" in a Dutch leek field
Is this art or science?
Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde uses light installations to suggest solutions to problems of the modern world. He's created a massive, blue and red dancing light show in a leek field - aimed at improving production and cutting pesticide use - and has developed an 'urban sun' which uses ultraviolet light to kill coronavirus in public spaces.
The result is stunning art displays... but designed to make people think and imagine.
