Women's History Month: The story of Dorset's Mabel Stobart
Mabel Stobart was the first woman to ever achieve the rank of Major in any national army.
She formed a wholly female medical team that trained on the Purbeck's in Dorset, and led the group into the war-torn Balkan state of Serbia during the typhus epidemic, as art historian Gwen Yarker explains.
