Covid-19 cull: Why I want to farm mink again
Denmark was the world鈥檚 top producer of mink for the luxury market. Until last year, when a mass cull of all 17 million animals was ordered after a coronavirus variant was found in the animals and transmitted to people.
Mink farming was prohibited until the end of 2021. Anti-fur campaigners hope the ban will become permanent but some mink farmers dream of the industry鈥檚 revival, and say they will start breeding mink again next year.
Danish journalist Rikke Bolander met one of them, Jesper Thygesen.
