Anger as European Super League plans revealed
A plan by some of the world's biggest football clubs to start a new European Super League (ESL) is being strongly criticised. The clubs involved say the ESL will benefit football as a whole, but critics say it's a cynical move driven by greed. Twelve clubs have signed up to the ESL - six of them from the English Premier League. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham would join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid. The founding clubs want a new mid-week competition with teams continuing to compete in national leagues.
English football coach and commentator Gary Neville responds to the plan, and is followed by fans and 大象传媒 correspondent Alex Capstick, who explains how this could work.
