Pandemic insomnia: do sleep apps help?
Many people have had difficulties sleeping as a result of the pandemic. The number of people searching for sleep apps doubled in 2020 to over 27,000 according to the comparison site U-Switch. Searches peak between 3.00 and 4.00 am when people are awake at night. Professor John Wright is a doctor and epidemiologist at Bradford Royal Infirmary, he's been recording diaries about being on the NHS frontline for 大象传媒 Radio 4. He's spoken about the sleeplessness he's suffered as a symptom of long covid, and he has tried out some popular sleep apps for us. Winifred Robinson presents.
