Covid-19: Nepal battles second wave
Nepal's Prime Minister, K.P.Sharma Oli, has called on foreign donors to supply vaccines and critical medicines to prevent a collapse of the health system. More than two million people have been vaccinated but authorities were forced to suspend the vaccination programme last month after failing to secure more supplies of vaccines from India and China. Som Paneru runs the Nepali Youth Foundation, a charity helping mitigate the impact of Covid across the country. He describes the challenges people are facing at the moment.
