Vuvu Mpofu: The opera that changed me
South African soprano Vuvu Mpofu has graced some of opera鈥檚 grandest stages, including the internationally renowned Operalia competition and Glyndebourne in the UK.
But her musical roots were in gospel music, before she encountered a powerful performance of Verdi's La Traviata whilst still at school, which set her on a different path in life and later helped her heal from a traumatic experience.
