Mum struggles with her mobility and Andrew isn't able to get her out of the house for a change of scene
Andrew arrives at his Mum's to find an email from her care supervisor explaining that she's struggling with her mobility. The carers report that she's finding it difficult to co-ordinate the actions necessary for getting out of bed or the reclining chair. He sees this for himself when - for the first time in about six months - he's unable to get Mum out of the house for a change of scene. Her brain is having difficulty telling the limbs what to do. It's an experience Andrew finds challenging after a positive couple of weeks when Mum's been out and about enjoying ice cream in the spring sunshine. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio Leeds.
