Gloucestershire are one of the success stories at the start of this Championship season. They top their group, after five matches unbeaten with four wins. An academy product now spearheading the attack, David Payne, joins us after taking 11 wickets in beating Middlesex by 7 wickets at Lord’s. How Gloucestershire got to this point is very interesting with captain Chris Dent leading from the front with runs on the field and inspiring ideas off it. No more the ‘unfashionable’ county, judge us by our performances is the message. It’s not an overnight story.
