Experts are warning that more people could experience mental health problems due to climate change.Research shows that the conditions for extreme weather events like floods and typhoons are made more likely by climate change and may contribute to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and depression.
Helen Berry, Honorary Professor of climate change and mental health at the University says it鈥檚 鈥渋mpossible to overstate the impact of climate change unchecked will have on our mental health鈥.
Mitzi Jonelle Tan, who lives in the Philippines, has experienced numerous typhoons. She told 大象传媒 Minute鈥檚 Olivia Le Poidevin how, what she describes as 鈥榗limate trauma鈥 has caused her to have panic attacks and anxiety.
