Poole GP spreading the word about the power of fitness after her own cancer scare
Earlier this year Dr Emma Williams was diagnosed with a rare condition which means her body produces neuroendocrine tumours. In March she had major abdominal surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from her pancreas.
She recovered more quickly than expected, and has put it down to her fitness prior to the procedure.
She's now organising a marathon for November to raise money for neuroendocrine charities and wants others to know about the physical and mental health benefits of exercise.
