Leslie E. Redmond has had lunch with President Barack Obama, and she was the youngest President of the Minneapolis National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP). After the murder of George Floyd, she has organised prayer and peace gatherings, and led one outside the court during the verdict.

She wants to see more community healing in society: 鈥淲e recognise that mental health is key.鈥�
