‘India should have been on UK’s red list sooner’
India should have been placed on the UK government’s “red list” of countries - those with the highest risk from Covid and highest level of travel restrictions - earlier, the head of EasyJet, Johan Lundgren, has told ý Hardtalk.
Pakistan and Bangladesh had been on the red list from 9 April, but India was added several weeks later on 23 April.
Countries have been categorised by the government as green, amber or red. Each classification has different rules about quarantine and Covid tests.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are all also currently following the same rules about travel restrictions.
The restrictions are reviewed by ministers every three weeks.
