Our Coterie crew returns, picking up right where they left off in season 2. Callie has moved back into the Coterie after breaking up with Jamie, bringing her feelings for Gael back into question. At work, she sees herself confronted with an opportunity to join a powerful defence attorney’s new firm, unbeknownst that her new boss is in the FBI’s crosshairs. In the wake of sleeping with her boss, Mariana breaks things off with Raj. Following a multitude of issues at work, Mariana & the Fight Club Girls decide to leave Speckulate to start their own tech company but quickly realise the challenges of getting an idea funded, especially as women in tech. After Davia & Dennis sleep together, Davia discovers that Dennis has moved out of the Coterie to further heal from his son’s tragic death and she finds it difficult to not take it personally. Davia becomes involved in her school’s Restorative Justice program with a group of other teachers, and sparks begin to fly between her and another teacher, Matt. Gael begins to intern for a prominent LA artist in the hopes of breaking into the art world, but when does an internship become free, exploitative labour? Following her arrest, Malika throws herself into her work at Dignity & Power. Now where she meets a fellow intern, Dyonte, with whom she starts to have feelings for. When she discovers he’s in a polyamorous relationship, she starts to wonder if that might be something for her. Alice is selected for the CBTV comedy diversity program with several other aspiring comics, but the lustre begins to fade when she begins to realise the sacrifices others make to break into & stay in showbiz. But through it all, the Coterie is a family, and this family sticks together to cause some good trouble.
