African leaders urge continent to produce its own COVID-19 vaccine
On 13 April 2021, the African Union pledged to increase the share of vaccines manufactured in Africa from 1% to 60%, a tall order given the current reality.
Today, there are less than 10 manufacturers with Vaccine production CAPABILITIES based in Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia.
