Suez Canal: Ever Given now able to leave
Just over three months after dominating the global headlines, the once stricken 400-metre long container ship, the Ever Given is finally leaving the Suez Canal. After the vessel caused global trade chaos by blocking the waterway, it was eventually freed by marine experts but has been held until now by the Egyptian authorities in their waters pending a deal over compensation. Andy Bowerman, of the charity the Mission to Seafarers, has been aboard the Ever Given, so what has been like for the crew?
