Prayers and herbal remedies were the solution Tanzanian President John Magufuli prescribed for coronavirus. Following his death, has there been a change in direction?
Before his death, Tanzania鈥檚 President John Magufuli gained notoriety for denying Covid was a problem. He refused to sign up for vaccines, instead recommending prayers and herbal remedies.
Now President Samia Suluhu is in charge. She has acknowledged that Covid is circulating in Tanzania and it鈥檚 now her job to tackle the pandemic.
But what鈥檚 she done so far? Is it enough?
