Women’s 800m and 200m finals at the Olympic Stadium on day 11 of Tokyo 2020.
For the first time, there are three British women in an Olympic 800m final: Keely Hodgkinson, Jemma Reekie and Alex Bell; it last happened in any track and field event 41 years ago in the 200m. Could one of the British trio become GB’s third Olympic gold medallist in this event, emulating Ann Packer at Tokyo 1964 and Kelly Holmes in 2004?
In the women's 200m final, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah is bidding for an unprecedented women’s 100-200m double-double. After a dominant semi-final – running a 21.66 seconds personal best whilst easing down – she'll have Florence Griffith-Joyner’s world record of 21.34 seconds in her sights.
