Day 11: 大象传媒 One - 00:00 - 15:00

Brits in historic 800m final as Kenny goes for unprecedented medal haul, GB compete in sailing and boxing, and Simone Biles returns to competition.

Athletic's morning session gets day 11 underway with men's 1,500m heats, long jump, women's 400m heats and men's 200m heats. In the men's sprint race, GB's Adam Gemili is aiming to make the semi-finals. The 27-year-old has had an up-and-down season but has begun to find form. He goes up against Erriyon Knighton of the US.

Great Britain were looking for a record number of medals in the boxing since 1908. Caroline Dubois was going in the women's lightweight quarter-finals where she was up against Sudaporn Seesondee of Thailand. In the late session Galal Yafai and Pat McCormack were looking to secure medals in the flyweight and welterweight classes respectively. There is no bronze medal match in boxing so a quarter-final victory guarantees an Olympic medal.

Giles Scott was looking to extend GB's dominance in the Finn sailing category. Britain had won every medal in this event since 2000 and Scott was looking to defend his Rio title. He was favourite going into the race but with sailing conditions able to change so quickly, it could be anyones game.

Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell were looking to win the men's 49er class. The duo, aged 31 and 34 respectively, were going to face a stern test from the Germans, who were able to work the conditions in their favour.

John Gimson and Anna Burnet had gold medal hopes in the mixed Nacra 17 class. They were already guaranteed a medal and needed a strong final race to get top spot.

Britain's Olympic bread and butter is in full flow as the track cycling continues. Britain were looking to defend their Olympic titles in both the men's and women's team pursuits. British dominance in the sport has been eaten away bu other nation's development and this year's title defence would be extremely difficult.

Jason Kenny would become Great Britain's most decorated Olympian should he pick up a medal, and would overtake Sir Bradley Wiggins.

After a week of headlines, US gymnastics sensation, Simone Biles, was back in action in the beam final. The American would be up against it with China's Guan Chenchen, who is just 16, the highest scoring qualifier.

Back to the Olympic stadium where the evening athletics session continues. Britain had three women in an 800m final for the first time in history. Keely Hodgkinson, Jemma Reekie and Alex Bell has medal chances in a field dominated by favourite Athing Mu of the US.

Elaine Thompson-Herah was looking to complete an unprecedented Rio and Tokyo, 100m and 200m, double-double. The Jamaican was favourite in the 200m after her outstanding performance in the 100m but would face major competition from Christine Mboma, who was not allowed to compete in the 400m because of her testosterone levels.

There were also athletic medal events in the men's 400m hurdles and the men's pole vault. On the track, Norwegian Karsten Warholm is favourite in what could be the best final of the games. The World Record holder was aiming to secure a medal after finishing 10th in Rio.

Swedish pole vaulting sensation Armand Duplantis was going for gold in his first Olympics. The 21-year-old will face steep competition, including from GB's Harry Coppell, but the Swede is outright favorite.
