Litter picking in Walsall Arboretum
We are launching our Big Summer Spruce up campaign here on 大象传媒 Radio WM.
Unfortunately, wherever you go, you can鈥檛 help spot plenty of rubbish. In fact, there has been a 69% rise in litter during the pandemic. So we have decided to do something to Make a Difference!
Over the next six weeks, we are going out and about with litter pickers right across the West Midlands and this morning we spoke to members of the Butts Litter Blitzers, Walsall Arboretum User Group and Birchills Agenda 21. Councillor Oliver Butler and Rich Upton from the Volunteer Coordinator at Walsall Council were also part of this morning's litter pick and told us why these community groups are so important.
