Cancer and the Menopause: Claire and Alison
On this clip our guests talk about when the menopause is brought on and in some case it can be years early because of cancer treatment.
Alison is 42-years-old and from Bath and has just completed treatment for breast cancer.
Claire is 53-years-old and lives in Coleford. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. She says she was plunged into the menopause when she had a hysterectomy just over 10 years ago.
They've both been supported by We Hear You, a charity based in Frome, which provides emotional support to people across Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions.
