World Exclusive: Christian Fraser talks to female journalist who interviewed Taliban
A female journalist sitting down with a top government official for a hard hitting interview is hardly news. But given the Taliban's brutal history of repression against women and girls, many were surprised yesterday when one of the Taliban's top officials Mawlawi Abdulhaq Hemad agreed to be questioned by Tolo News' anchor Beheshta Arghand. It made headlines around the world, and now in her first interview she tells Christian Fraser that she is scared that she will harmed by the Taliban simply for doing her job, and the fears she has for her country and freedom of journalists in the coming months.
