Zambia鈥檚 newly-elected President Hakainde Hichilema has announced new commanders of the Zambian army, the air force and the national service and their deputies, as well as a new inspector general of police.

Plus tens of thousands of people and children are currently registered missing in Africa.

And a group of more than 50 African intellectuals have written an open letter calling on all sides in the Ethiopian-Tigray conflict to come to the negotiating table for the sake of the nation.
