The writers and cast behind Horrible Histories wonder what it might be like if George Washington had his own podcast. It is set towards the end of his first term as the first ever President of America.
George is looking forward to retiring back to his farm and has decided to run a farming ‘phone in’. His wife Martha calls in to make sure he’s not planning to run for president a second time. Alexander Hamilton and Abigail Adams both call in to try and persuade him to take the post again.
To Boudica’s delight they discuss fashion trends in Rome but when she gets news that her husband, Prasatagus King of the Celtic Iceni tribe has died, she is shocked to discover that under Roman law, everything she and her family owns now belongs to them. She storms off.
There is a mock advert for a ‘Lucky George Jacket’. There is also a quiz question about how Washington’s false teeth.
King George III phones in and Washington is surprised to discover they share a love of farming. The King informs Washington that he will indeed be made President for a second term, much to Washington’s consternation.
