Why are women harassed at work?
Sexual harassment seems to be rife in Africa鈥檚 media industry. In a survey, half the female journalists who took part said they鈥檇 experienced it. So how did it get this bad?
Across Africa鈥檚 newsrooms, sexual harassment appears to be rife. That鈥檚 according to research by Women in News - a media development programme.
Half of all the women surveyed said they鈥檇 been harassed at work - and only a third had reported it. So, despite all the progress with the #metoo movement, why is sexual harassment still so widespread? And what鈥檚 being done to stop it?
