Turning Point is soon to host the 2021 RECOVERY'S GOT TALENT!
Suffolk is soon to host the 2021 RECOVERY'S GOT TALENT, which is a showcase of talent and celebration of recovery from those who have been affected by substance misuse, abuse and mental health problems.
Turning Point Suffolk and partners welcome you to an evening celebrating the talent in recovery. Prepare to be amazed by the creative talent within our community, sit back and enjoy the show! The event is ticket only and free, though we will be welcoming donations on the night for those who can. Refreshments will be available throughout the evening and there will be a prize raffle on the night. Maria Bonaccorsi, who works for Turning Point Suffolk as a Peer Mentor and Volunteer Team Leader and is one of the founder members of Recovery's Got Talent.’ And ‘Jody Lee, also known as The Skinny Poet, is a Suffolk based poet who has been performing his work for 15 years. He started off in recovery events and has been 2nd place at every recovery's got talent. He's now gaining notice on the poetry circuits and has appeared at literary festivals, including one in Bury this Thurs and was recently feature poet at white -cross Street party in London.’ Jody shares a powerful poem in this interview.
