A new linear park is to be created in Wirral and the council are asking for resident's ideas about what they'd like to see
Residents in Wirral are being asked to help design Birkenhead鈥檚 new Dock Branch Park.
The brand-new, world-class public park is being created on the disused former Dock Branch railway line in Birkenhead.
Inspired by The High Line in New York and the Promenade Plantee in Paris, it aims to bring people together and help everyone get closer to heritage and nature.
The first phase of the Park will be 800m long, and will stretch from Tower Road to Argyle Street.
Cllr Tony Jones is Chair of the Economic, Regeneration & Development Committee. He spoke to Paul Salt on 大象传媒 Radio Merseyside Breakfast about where the idea came from.
