Texas women travelling hundreds of kilometres for abortion
At the beginning of this month, Texas brought in a highly restrictive law limiting abortions to as early as six weeks - before some women even know they are pregnant.
It's likely to mean that most of the roughly 55,000 abortions which happen annually in the state cannot happen there any more. One impact? Abortion services in surrounding states have been flooded with calls for help.
Rebecca Tong is the co-executive director of Trust Women, which runs abortions clinics in Kansas and Oklahoma. She says their clinics are seeing twice as many patients as normal - but are still turning some away.
"People are calling scared, confused, upset that they have to travel out of state. Keep in mind many of these people are being forced to travel hundreds of miles to take a pill. They're in an absolutely heart breaking situation."
