Is South African tourism due a transformation?
Wildlife, beaches and nightlife鈥outh Africa鈥檚 an all-round tourist magnet. But with very few black owned businesses, is enough being done to open the industry up?
Millions of people visit South Africa each year to enjoy safari鈥檚, culture and nightlife.
The tourism industry has been hit hard by Covid-19, but there are other issues it has been struggling with for longer.
More than 25 years since the end of apartheid, the sector remains largely in white hands. Very few businesses meet the target of 30% black ownership.
So, as the sector tries to recover from the pandemic, what needs to happen to create opportunities for everyone?
