Can economic growth tempt Zimbabweans home?
Millions of people have left Zimbabwe in search of secure employment and better wages. The economy is showing the first signs of recovery鈥ill people be tempted to return home?
Zimbabwe once sat as a powerhouse alongside Africa鈥檚 biggest economies.
Over the past two decades though, Zimbabwean鈥檚 have been on an economic rollercoaster, experiencing crashes, strikes, hyperinflation and unemployment.
Millions of people left the country in search of guaranteed work and better wages. Many of them are still overseas.
However, in the last few months, the economy has shown the first signs of improvement.
The International Monetary fund has predicted growth of 6% this year. And the government is hoping for even better.
So, is Zimbabwe鈥檚 economy beginning to recover?
And is it enough to tempt people home?
