Petition to reinstate the Liverpool 'Night Bus' gains over 4000 signatures - the service previously ran hourly from 12am onward
Would you feel safer at night if you could jump onto a bus, rather than having to hunt for a taxi or walk?
Before the pandemic in Liverpool you could use the 86 at night, linking the city centre and Speke via Smithdown Road.
It was stopped due to Covid - and despite social distancing rules being relaxed and nightlife returning, the service has not been reinstated.
Now a student at the University of Liverpool has created a petition to try and get it back after attacks on women and LGBTQ people - and it's already got four and a half thousand signatures.
Sorcha White who created the petition spoke with Paul salt on 大象传媒 Radio Merseyside.
