Big day for Kirkby, as first supermarket in the town for 40 years opens its doors.
After 40 years without a major supermarket, Morrison's have opened their doors in Kirkby town centre.
It's hoped it will finally be the happy ending in the saga of Kirkby's regeneration.
Several previous projects have failed to get off the ground, including a plan for Everton and Tesco to come together and move to the site in 2006.
Eventually Knowsley Council bought the land in 2019.
