Knowsley Plans To Address 'UK Gambling Capital' Status
Earlier this year, Knowsley was named as having the highest levels of gambling in the country, according to Public Health England.
80% of people in the borough gambled over a 12 month period compared to the lowest rate in the country which was 23%.
The local council is putting a plan of action in place to tackle the issues and it's hoped it will be approved next month.
Ian Whiteside from Beacon Counselling Trust joined Paul Salt on Breakfast.
They're a charity that offers free treatment and support to those affected by problematic gambling in the North West.
