Will Germany make vaccination compulsory?
Chancellor Olaf Scholz will take office this week to lead a three party coalition which aims to deal with low rates of vaccination. It is thought getting a jab could become mandatory for some jobs, such as working in hospitals, or nursing homes. Support is growing for the idea, as Germany is experiencing a surge in infections and it is feared the Omicron variant of Covid-19 could make the situation worse. Christian Schulz, an economist with Citigroup in Frankfurt, tells the 大象传媒's Russell Padmore there is a political consensus about getting more people vaccinated.
