Stigma - a mental health challenge for many disabled people
According to experts, stigma has caused tremendous effect on the mental well being of the disabled community forcing many to withdraw from society or act up from depression. In Tanzania, efforts are being made to fight stigma against disability and one way is by incorporating an integrated system of education in some public schools. This is aimed at normalising disability among young children to enhance acceptance. From, Dar es Salaam, the BBc's Dayo Yusuf reports.
