Homeless Shelter receives money from SpeedoMick
Merseyside charity fundraiser, SpeedoMick, (aka Michael Cullen) finishes his mammoth 2,500-mile trek on home turf in Liverpool later today.
Over the last six months, SpeedoMick has been making his way round the UK and Ireland on foot, wearing only his famous blue Speedo pants – wind, rain or shine.
The purpose of the tour has been to give back £250,000 to small charities along the way who support homelessness, mental health and disadvantaged young people, all of which he has first hand experience of in his road to recovery.
So far he’s given out nearly £193,000 to 83 charities along with raising over £130,000 so far on the walk.
One of the charities to receive some of the money is The Phoenix Foundation, based on Duke Street in Liverpool.
Andrea Pankiw is from the foundation.
