Transformation Myths by Wolsey Writers

Expect magical transformations; reflections on changing times; and monsters!

In Autumn 2021, creative writers across Suffolk were invited to share stories of change and transformation, real or imagined, inspired by Ovid鈥檚 Metamorphoses.

Through a combination of facilitated workshops and curated submissions, they produced an original Suffolk Mythology using fiction, poetry and lived experience. Myths are passed down the centuries through the oral tradition 鈥� and this audio project is a 21st century response.

Expect magical transformations; reflections on changing times; and monsters.

Wolsey Writers is part of Creative Communities at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich. The group has been based there since 2015 and is led by award-winning author, Katie Ward.
