Covid-19: Anthony Fauci's holiday advice is be 'prudent and safe'
Infection rates of the Omicron variant are surging around the world. Research suggests that this variant is now much more transmissible, and as the holidays approach, and many millions of people prepare to travel, the chances of infection will only increase.
Dr Anthony Fauci, President Biden's chief adviser on Covid-19, says there are many risks associated with travelling, given, in the US alone, there are over 15 million people who have not yet been vaccinated. He advises against attending large parties, of mingling with people who may not be vaccinated, and of being in places where large numbers are congregating.
"The whole process of travel ratchets up the risk Be as prudent and as safe as you possibly can."
